As a first-generation Hmong American woman, entering college was both exciting and overwhelming. Without parents who had navigated higher education, I had to figure out the application process and college experience on my own. That journey motivated me to ensure other students don’t feel isolated or underprepared.
Joining AASPIRES as a Founding Board Member allows me to help unlock access, knowledge, and support for Asian American students from underrepresented communities. I believe in the power of resilience, storytelling, and representation, and I am committed to helping build a pipeline of empowered, culturally resilient scholars who can thrive and lead with confidence.
